Ollie White
Ollie (b.2000) is a British painter, living and working in London.
His artistic practice involves the incorporation of found imagery within the fictional space of his paintings. He uses painting as a tool to bring new meaning to the imagery that’s represented within his work, often alluding to an anthropomorphic presence imbued within the objects depicted.
Playing close attention to the materiality he depicts within his work, he investigates the tension and connections surrounding settings or objects that are represented, asking questions about meaning, authenticity and desire.
Often exploring themes of isolation and emptiness, his works are composed around a process of imaginative reconstruction, about observation & memory playing a role in the finished work.
