Mae Ceramics
Lilly Maetzig is the maker behind Mae Ceramics. Her work explores the contrast between the texture of raw and glazed clay, and lets the natural qualities show through on the surface of a finished piece.
Lilly moved to London in 2016, which is when she began to focus most of her energy into making pots. Lilly got her first taste of ceramics in art school in New Zealand, where they were taught basic design principles and were encouraged to use a wide range of media to make both two dimensional and sculptural work.
