Lewisham Lit

Lewisham Lit are a student run book group at Goldsmiths, set up to encourage discussions on the literary culture of Lewisham. They run similar to any other book club, but the literature chosen is rooted in Lewisham and the surrounding areas, whether that's because of setting or because of where the author is from. Although they are based at the University, they are a community book group open to all - aiming to foster discussions about literature that creates links between Goldsmiths students and the community, and to highlight the amazing literary work that comes out of the area!

The group meet bi-annually to discuss a new book, what they thought of it and how it might relate to personal experiences of the areas represented in the book.
Their autumn book is Candice Carty-William's 'Queenie', and the meeting will be on Thursday the 28th Nov at 6:30pm.
Their spring book will be Surge by Jay Bernard, date of meeting TBD!
