Technical Services Coordinator - Making (fixed term 1 year maternity cover)

The Royal College of Art is seeking a highly organised and dynamic Technical Services Coordinator to lead specialist technical teams delivering making and digital-making support across RCA campuses. This maternity-cover role oversees bench-based and 3D experimental making areas, ensuring students and staff receive expert assistance during early-stage research and prototyping. You will manage equipment procurement, technical space development, maintenance planning, budgeting, and cross-college liaison. The post requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate complex technical services within a fast-moving educational environment, supporting teaching, learning and research activity at the highest level.
