Designer/Design Team

The Migration Museum is seeking an experienced designer or design team to create and oversee the fabrication of Migration Museum in a Box — a portable, suitcase-based display that brings migration stories to life. This interactive, self-contained unit will be used for outreach, education, and engagement with diverse audiences, alongside a miniature architectural model of our future home. The role involves developing the design aesthetic, layout, and user experience, producing technical drawings, and liaising with fabricators. Designer Fee: up to £3,000. Fabrication Budget: up to £3,500. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how thousands engage with migration stories.

Key skills:

Strong 3D and product design expertise

Experience with interactive/portable displays

Ability to produce technical drawings and 3D renders
