Lighting Restorer/Metalworker
Jolene Farmer Studio Ltd, a specialist London-based workshop, is seeking a Lighting Restorer/Metalworker to join its small creative team. This permanent role involves restoring, wiring, and fabricating unique and valuable lighting fixtures for artists, interior designers, and antique dealers. Working primarily with brass and other fine materials, you will apply both craftsmanship and problem-solving to produce bespoke results of the highest standard. The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adaptability, blending technical expertise with artistic sensibility. This is an opportunity to contribute to the preservation and fabrication of distinctive luminaires in a collaborative, craft-focused environment.

Experience in lighting restoration, metalwork, or transferable crafts skills
Proficiency in workshop techniques: lathe, bandsaw, soldering, shaping, cutting, polishing
Skilled use of hand tools and fine manual dexterity
Ability to disassemble, restore, and reassemble complex fixtures accurately
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of materials, particularly brass, and restoration techniques
Passion for craftsmanship, historical preservation, and creative fabrication
