Lecturer in Music Performance
The Department of Music wishes to appoint a performer and scholar whose work is grounded in the practices of 20th and 21st century art music. The role holder will convene and teach performance modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will develop co-curricular performance activity in order to enrich student experience and build on Goldsmiths’ reputation in contemporary music. They will also act as a Personal Tutor to provide academic and pastoral guidance to students and activate professional networks and develop external partnerships to bring students into contact with a wide range of musics, musicians and professional experiences.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in at least two of the following areas:
Experimental music histories and futures
Site-specific and/or networked performance methodsTechnologically or otherwise expanded performance practices
Must have a mature, individual artistic practice
Should possess a significant professional network
Must have experience in:
Teaching and organisation in Higher Education, or
Equivalent developmental and organisational experienceShould adopt a student-centred approach
Must support the realisation of student creative potential at both undergraduate and postgraduate levelsThe role is intended at 0.5 FTE
A job share may be considered, with one appointment potentially made at 0.3 FTE
