Textile Collection Curator

The Library at Goldsmiths is seeking a dedicated Curator for the Goldsmiths Textile Collection (GTC) to join our Special Collections and Archives team. Reporting to the SCA Manager, you will manage and care for the GTC, ensuring its accessibility for researchers and enhancing the student experience. Key responsibilities include collections management, and planning and delivering exhibitions and events in the Constance Howard Gallery. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant academic community and support learning and scholarship. The position is based on campus at Deptford Town Hall.

Key skills:

The successful candidate will be educated to first degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience, as well as a professional qualification in museum or heritage studies, or substantial experience with a relevant collection. You will have experience of delivering workshops, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ab ability to take initiative and self-direct.
