Bookstore Retail Manager
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the day-to-day operations of the bookshop and retail space, including editions and merchandise.
-Curate the selection of books, merchandise, and editions in collaboration with ICA’s programming teams, ensuring alignment with exhibitions, events, and the ICA’s mission.
-Oversee stock management, ordering, pricing, and product displays.
-Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from retail offerings.
-Collaborate with artists and creators to develop exclusive ICA merchandise and (editions).
-Collaborate with the Head of Learning and Engagement to coordinate book launches and talks in relation to liaising with publishers, audience engagement strategy, and income generation targets
-Supervise and train retail staff, ensuring excellent customer service.
-Manage online retail platforms, ensuring smooth sales and fulfilment processes.
-Prepare and analyse sales reports, set targets, and monitor performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and revenue growth.
-Work closely with the Finance team for reconciliation and stock management.
- Key skills:

Proven experience in retail management, including merchandising, stock control, and customer service.
Experience with retail software (e.g., Booksolve, Shopify, Spektrix) and e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge of contemporary art and culture is desirable.
