Hannah George (The Etch Collective)
I’m an art teacher based in Deptford, South East London with a creative specialism centred around textiles and photographic practices. I co- run an artist collective focused on creating accessible workshops, exhibitions and publications.
Our work explores ensures a particular focus on making creative spaces and opportunities accessible to everyone.
Our most recent project is entitled UTILITY, a publication exploring what it means to be profitable, useful or beneficial - and how we might think about those ideas from an intersectional multi media approach.
Our next workshop is a collage-based blackout poetry workshop, combining found text, collage and creative writing to explore how new meanings can emerge from existing materials at SET social (August 8th) to give you a little flavour of the kind of things we’re getting up to!
