XO : Lewis Daniel E.P Showcase "States Of Being"

You’ve seen him run events, DJ, compose music for some of Matchsticks productions and even sometimes guest appear at Steamdown weekly. Now Saxophonist/singer Lewis is here to debut his own solo material ahead of his forthcoming E.P entitled “States of Being”.

This XO session will be curated by Lewis Daniel with support acts to be announced.

“States of Being is a concept E.P exploring different emotions, feelings and states of being. Influenced by my own journey in my 20s through difficulties, trials and tribulations. The e.p is heavily influenced by the current UK jazz scene, hip hop, dance music and alternative music. When creating this body of work I wanted to draw upon all the different projects I have the pleasure of writing for from the House Gospel Choir to the alternative music of The Last Dinosaur. I also wanted to reference my heritage and music I grew up listening too such and RnB, Garage, Jamiroquai, video game music and of course Jazz. I really wanted to create a project under the jazz umbrella that didn’t follow any rules and was just a reflection of all the stuff I liked in one project.

Lewis will be accompanied by a 6 piece band
