Sydenham Arts Film Club - Loving Vincent Screening

Join us for an Artists Trail Special screening of Loving Vincent, the world’s first fully painted feature film.

An exploration of Vincent van Gogh’s final days by the young man tasked to deliver the troubled artist’s final letter to his brother, Hugh Welchman’s film is a living, breathing, moving painting.

Shot in live action, with real actors, it was then treated as a painted animation – each of its 65,000 frames hand painted as an oil painting on canvas, using van Gogh’s technique, created by a team of over one hundred artists. An inovating artistic technological feat, it is a piece of art itself.

Doors open 7pm, Film Screening starts 7.30pm. Refreshments and bar are available at the venue
