14 Jul 26 — 14 Jul 26

Venue: Online Event
Consider the ableism in our traditional views of leadership and explore what disabled understandings of leadership might be like.

The first of two workshops with CRIPtic Arts Executive and Artistic Director, Jamie Hale.

What does it mean to be disabled and a leader? What does disabled leadership look like, and how can we learn from one another?

About Jamie
Jamie Hale is the founding Artistic and Executive Director of CRIPtic Arts, a pioneering disabled-led arts organisation dedicated to creating a cultural landscape where disabled people flourish. An award-winning poet, playwright, director and theatre-maker, Jamie has built a career at the intersection of creative practice, access, research and organisational change. Through CRIPtic Arts, they lead artistic development programmes, produce disabled-led work, deliver training and consultancy, and advocate across the cultural sector for more accessible, ambitious and equitable ways of working.

Jamie’s leadership is grounded in lived experience, disability justice and a practical understanding of how organisations can change even in resource-limited environments. They specialise in supporting disabled people and disabled-led organisations, from creative work to creative careers, and advise cultural organisations, charities, government and third-sector bodies on access, equity, people, policy and practice.
